Q: How many vanes in the 607?

A: 7 vanes in the 607 and 6 vanes in the 866

Q: When do I need to change my vanes?

A: Check the vane wear thru the vane wear inspection port on the pump housing. If the vanes are worn down more than a 1/4 “ the vanes need to be replaced.
 

Q: What type of oil do you use in the Challenger vacuum pumps?

A: ISO 68; NVE ISO 68 Turbine Oil

Q: What RPM do you need to run the 607 Challenger?

A: 1250 rpm is recommended. You can operate in the range of 1000 -1500 for a intermittent period.

Q: How much oil should be coming out of each port on my oil pump?

A: 1 to 2 drops of oil per second out of each port. You should use approximately 12 oz. to 16 oz. per hour of operation.


Q: Excessive coupler wear?

A: Your couplers are misaligned.


Q: My pump is not working?

A: Refer to the troubleshooting section of your owner's manual. If the pump spins and the vanes are dropping - then it is not a pump issue.
